Oahu wedding DJ and MC, from Honolulu to the North Shore

We take weddings on Oahu: resort lawns in Ko Olina, Waikiki ballrooms, windward-side gardens near Kailua and Kaneohe, and estates on the North Shore. You get the same packages as a Bay Area wedding, plus one flat travel fee quoted up front.

  • Same packages as the Bay Area
  • One flat travel fee, quoted with the package
  • Ceremony sound for beach and lawn ceremonies
  • MC included
How a destination date works

Three steps, one travel fee, no surprises later.

The only difference from a Bay Area wedding is the travel line on the agreement.

1

Send the date and venue

We check the calendar, including flight days on either side, and reply with availability, a recommended package and the price with the Oahu travel fee included.

2

Plan it like a local wedding

A planning call covers the timeline, ceremony site, must-plays, traditions and the venue's music cutoff. We coordinate with your Oahu planner and venue directly.

3

Sign, reserve, and we handle the trip

A signed agreement and retainer lock the date. Flights, gear and logistics are ours to manage; the balance is due 14 days before the wedding.

Where on Oahu

Resort lawns, beach ceremonies and North Shore estates.

Each part of the island has its own logistics. Here's what changes for the DJ setup.

Waikiki and Honolulu

Hotel ballrooms and oceanfront lawns, rooftop and private-club receptions near Diamond Head. Load-in is through hotel docks and freight elevators, so we coordinate timing with the banquet team.

Ko Olina and the west side

Resort lagoons and lawns with sunset ceremonies. Wind off the water is the main thing: speakers get placed and weighted for it and the officiant's mic is set up to handle gusts.

Kailua, Kaneohe and the windward side

Garden estates, botanical venues and beachfront houses with the Ko'olau mountains behind you. Many are residential, with earlier music cutoffs and generator or house power to plan around.

North Shore

Ranch and estate venues from Haleiwa up to Kahuku. Long power runs, outdoor dance floors under string lights, and a crowd that wants the party to keep going after the sun drops.

Beach ceremonies on public sand are usually permitted through your planner; ceremony sound on the sand is arranged with your planner and venue so the vows carry.

Island specifics

Four things that are different about an Oahu wedding timeline.

Built into the planning call.

Sunset is early

Oahu sunsets land between about 6 and 7 PM all year, so a sunset ceremony means a 4 or 5 PM start and a reception that's mostly after dark. Dance floor lighting matters more than on a June Bay Area date.

Music cutoffs come sooner

Resorts and residential venues often require amplified music to stop earlier than mainland venues. We front-load the dance set so the best hour isn't the one that gets cut.

Family traditions

Lei exchange, a hula or Hawaiian music for the first dance, a Filipino money dance, a Japanese sake ceremony: the MC cues each one with the right song and keeps the program moving.

Travel is one line item

Flights, baggage and ground transport for the crew and gear are folded into a single flat fee on the agreement, so the package price you see is the one you pay plus that fee.

Which package

Bay Area prices, plus the travel fee.

Essential+ covers the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception with DJ, MC and sound. Signature+ adds the photo booth, which travels with us. Luxe uplighting is possible for ballroom receptions; ask on the call.

Oahu FAQ

Questions about booking us for Hawaii.

The destination-specific ones. The general questions (holding a date, payments, overtime, insurance) are answered in the homepage FAQ.

How much is the travel fee?

It's quoted as one flat number with your package once we know the date and venue, since flights vary by season. You'll see it before you sign, and it doesn't change afterward.

Do you bring your own equipment to Oahu?

Depending on the venue we fly our DJ setup in or source sound locally. Either way it is sized for the room and confirmed with you before the date.

How early should we book an Oahu date?

Earlier than a Bay Area date. Flight days block the calendar on both sides, so popular months go quickly. Reach out as soon as the venue is confirmed.

Will you work with our Oahu planner?

Yes. We share the run of show with your planner and venue and take their lead on site rules, permits and the music cutoff.

Can you do other islands or destinations?

Ask. Maui, Kauai and mainland destinations are quoted the same way: the package plus one flat travel fee.
