San Francisco venuesFive kinds of SF wedding, five different setups.
The city packs ballrooms, parks, lofts and restaurants into seven square miles, and each needs the sound and the timeline handled differently.
City Hall ceremony, reception elsewhere
The classic SF wedding: a short ceremony under the rotunda, portraits on the staircase, then a reception at a restaurant, a loft or a hotel. We handle only the reception side and build the timeline so the party starts the moment you walk in.
Presidio and Golden Gate Park
Lawn and courtyard ceremonies with fog, wind and a view. Ceremony sound gets placed and weighted for the wind; the officiant mic is set up so vows carry over the breeze. Receptions move indoors or under a tent.
Nob Hill and Union Square hotel ballrooms
Grand rooms with high ceilings and a dock to load through. We size the PA to the room, run mics for toasts and add uplighting (Luxe) when the room should glow for the evening.
SoMa, Dogpatch and Mission lofts and galleries
Raw, high-ceilinged spaces with brick and concrete that sound lively. We tune the system for the reverb and light the room so it photographs well. Street parking is tight, so load-in is planned ahead.
Embarcadero and Marina waterfront
Pier and bayfront rooms with the bridge in the window and the fog rolling in after sunset. Cocktail hour outside, dinner and dancing inside, with a separate speaker for the terrace.
Neighborhood restaurants and rooftops
Intimate receptions for 40 to 80 in the Mission, Hayes Valley, North Beach or on a rooftop. A compact system at conversation volume through dinner, then a dance set that doesn't overpower the room.
